Actual Post (as this is not a Riff):
I'm sure most of you who care nothing about my Creepypasta Riffs are tired of seeing my posts pop up. To those people, I'm sorry. But to those people who do care about the Riffs, I have a few words.
First, I plan to make this a weekend thing, since during the weekend, I'll have more time to actually make the Riffs, and make them well. I'm very fond of them, and don't want them to be crap.
Second, if you want me to Riff your pasta, I would like your email. Not because I'm a creepy stalker or anything; simply because I want to send the Riff of your pasta to you first so that you can say whether or not you like it, and so that I can make any edits to it that you might deem necessary. I don't want to offend people the people who recommend their works to me, since they're fans and that would be a dick move on my part.
Third, there are a few pastas I have in mind for doing a Riff of: "Squidward's Suicide", maybe parts of the "original mythos" for Slender Man, the original Jane the Killer story, "Eyeless Jack", and some that will probably occur to me after I finish writing this. However, I'm not sure if I'll do "BEN Drowned". I'm honestly not a gamer, and don't know much about the Legend of Zelda, so it'll feel like there are quite a few jokes I missed. And SCPs are presently out of the picture. Why? Well, they're very drab and formal, and while I could do a lot with that, I'm not sure I'm ready to. Yet. I may change my stance on them, but for now, no. By the way, if any of you have any recommendations for any bad pastas, please leave them in the comments, so that way I can read up on them and see if they're Riff material.
Fourth, a big thank you to those who read and comment on my Riffs. It's nice knowing people like this, and I appreciate the few fans I have. Thanks you.
This is probably my last post today, unless inspiration strikes and I decide to write another Riff or something. But until then, ta ta.
RUMINATIONS:
While this technically isn't a Riff, it does have to do with the Riffs, and I felt I had to archive it. I'll probably do the same with blog posts that aren't Riffs, but have part of the story arc I had going for a while. It's either that, or just post only the story elements. I'm not sure which I'm going to do as of present.
There's also another reason I wanted to archive this: so I could comment on the contents of the post itself. For example, the first part about not Riffing on the weekends obviously changed over time. Why? Well, I enjoyed Riffing, and some people enjoyed reading them. Now, this is probably what led to me not being able to Riff on the Creepypasta Wiki anymore, or at least part of it.
The second part is still basically the same, and I still try and do that. Actually, I've had a few Riffquests (what I call Riff requests) since I've started Riffing. I find that the people who recommend their own stories are actually very good writers. Seriously, most stories Riffquested by the author are actually very good stories.
As for the stories I planned to Riff, I ended up Riffing "Squidwar'd Suicide", "Jane's Letter" (the original "Jane the Killer" story), and "Eyeless Jack". As of present, I have not Riffed any of Slender Man's original mythos, nor any SCPs. I would like to Riff "BEN Drowned", but only through a crossover with someone who knows about the Legend of Zelda.
Now, the comment thing is still quite true. I always love it when people comment on Riffs or my posts. It's nice to know someone's reading it, and possibly enjoying it.
The final part about that being the last post that day...yeah, it wasn't.
